Weeks 3 and 4 - No pictures please!

Week three came and passed. This week is always slow as we are waiting on the arrival and machining of parts, but then week four arrived. We started assembling the sub-systems. We began with the intake while other parts were at the welder. Just like the prototype, the intake was a huge success. We are already tweaking this system to allow for better and secure control of the power cubes. The sub-systems arrived from the welder and the grinding began. The lifter went together quite smoothly with just a few minor improvements planned for the next iteration. These changes have to do mainly with the bearing system. Now, all the subsystems are on the practice bot, the wiring and pneumatics systems are finished, and the programming for control is ready for the main test. This is where all the subsystems now have to work in unison and the coding begins on the automated controls and autonomous period. The competition robot is already in second round production.

Due to the top-secretness of this operation, you'll have to wait a little longer before you get to sneak a peak of our 2018 bot. We can't wait to show you!

As a reminder of our awesomeness, here's the link to Dreadnought, the 2017 robot reveal.
